Heidi Beyer, CVT
Heidi has been a licensed veterinary technician for over 27 years, graduating from Canton ATC College in New York. She has been at Middleton Veterinary Hospital since 2003. Heidi has a special interest in feline care and pediatrics. She is very active in feline rescue, specializing in bottle feeding orphan kittens. At any given time she fosters a dozen or more kittens and cats while they are waiting for that special home. Heidi lives with her husband Chuck, two dogs (Cisco and Tristan), and four cats (Oliver, Yellowbeard, Beatrice, and Joycat).
Rachel Covey, CVT
Rachel has been at the Middleton Veterinary Hospital for 9 years, first as a member of our kennel staff and currently as a certified veterinary technician. She enjoys meeting clients and taking care of their animals. Rachel and her husband LeRoy have a two-and-a-half-year-old son named Parker. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys taking Parker on adventures and reading books. Her two cats, Carmel and Charger, keep her busy as well.
Jessica Melby, CVT
Jessica is a certified veterinary technician and we are lucky to have her. She graduated from MATC in 2011 and joined us in May. She finds it especially rewarding to be able to comfort animals that are sick or scared during hospitalization. Being able to provide extra TLC is part of why she became a technician. Jessica is a newlywed and enjoys spending time with her husband Jason. Together they have a cat named Moose and three dogs; a Golden Retriever named Potter, a Long Haired Dachshund named Tank, and a Boston Terrier named Bettie Paige. Now that she has graduated she is trying to decide which hobby to pursue in place of studying. High on the list of contenders are running, roller derby, photography, or painting.
Fay Schmitt, CVT
Fay has been with the Middleton Veterinary Hospital since 1981. She is a certified veterinary technician and has watched the hospital grow from a one-doctor practice to a five-doctor practice. Her primary focus is inventory management. This includes ordering medications and supplies, maintaining all our advanced equipment, and looking into special purchases for individual clients. When time allows though she still enjoys helping with patient care too! Fay lives on a dairy farm with her husband, three children, and three cats.
